Dear HyperUSA,
I have always connected at 28.8kb and I was wondering
why I cannot connect any faster since I have a 56k modem?

Dear Wahneta,
Transfer speeds can vary depending on the circumstances.
Many things can cause speed issues like distance, phone line
quality, weather, and line noise. Even your modem plays
a part in how fast you connect. If you are using older
drivers (software that runs a piece of hardware) you
may connect at slower speeds. Even programs that run in the
background or that you may have installed manually may use up
bandwidth, causing you to slow down. Keep in mind this includes
Spyware and Adware programs.
Some people in older homes may have problems
connecting due to old wiring. The connectors on your phone line
can deteriorate causing reduced speeds and connection problems.
Your connection speed is also just the initial speed at which
your computer connects. Your modem will attempt to speed up
and slow down the connection to correct for errors and attempt
to give you the fastest speed possible with the least errors.
As you can see there are many many things that can cause
speed issues. In any case, you are always welcomed to call
us here at HyperUSA so that we may further troubleshoot
and possibly find a solution!

I am getting a tremendous amount of junk emails.

Anyone here in the HyperUSA Tech Support Department can
request that your email be deleted, but it seems to me
that you may be experiencing the deaded "Junk Mail Blues!"
That's right, just about everyone goes
though this stage at least once. The symptoms are usually
as follows:
Strange emails from people you don't know, horrifying emails
with adult content, and various advertisments (that you never
requested) resulting in you taking extreme measures such as
requesting your ISP to delete your email address!
Sound farmiliar? This can be quite a hair raising situation!
