Linux Dial-Up Information How To Setup Linux For Dial-Up There are as many ways to setup your Linux computer to dial the Internet as there are Linux Distributions. To begin here are a few methods that should work regardless of which distribution you are using. If you are running Xwindows on your Linux computer, you will probably want to use a graphical tool to help you connect. X-ISP is easy to use, full of features, and best of all, it's free. X-ISP - http://users.hol.gr/~dbouras/ Wvdial is another tool that you can use to connect your Linux computer to the Internet. We did not include it above because technically, it's a command line tool. There are a few graphical frontends created to use in conjunction with wvdial including rp3 which is included with Redhat 6.1. We will look at rp3 when we discuss the separate distributions.
