Setup Assistant for Mac OS8 and I-Book
- To get started, open your Hard Disk from the desktop.
- On the screen that comes up, double-click Assistants.
- Next, double-click the Internet Setup Assistant icon.
- On the next screen, click Update.
- The next screen should be text. You will click the right arrow.
- On the next screen, you should click "add Internet configuration" and click the right arrow.
- It will ask what you want to call the connection. Type in HyperUSA and then select modem on the bottom section. Click the right arrow again.
- The next screen will ask you to select your modem. Click the right arrow again.
- On this screen, enter the local access number in the first blank. In the second blank, type your username and in the third blank, type your password. Then click the right arrow again.
- Next, it will ask if there is an IP address for this configuration. You will click no and the right arrow.
- The next screen asks for the DNS address. In that box, you will type 64.6.45.3 and then below it, type 64.6.32.17 and click the right arrow.
- The next screen has two blanks. In the first blank type your e-mail address and in the second blank, type your password and click the right arrow.
- This screen will ask for your mail severs. In the first blank, type yourusername@pop3.hyperusa.com and in the second blank, type smtp.hyperusa.com. Then click the right arrow.
- In the news server blank, type news.hyperusa.com and click the right arrow again.
- The next screen is the final screen of the Internet Setup Assistant. You can click Go ahead, and you will be setup and ready to surf the Internet.
