Making a New Connection
- Click on Start and then Control Panel.
- Pick switch to Classic View from the menu on the left (if it does not already say Classic View at the Top).
- Double-Click on the Network Connections Icon.
- On the left hand side under Network Tasks click on Create a New Connection.
- This will start the New Connection Wizard, click Next on the first screen.
- Choose Connect to the Internet and click Next.
- Choose Setup My Connection Manually and click Next.
- Choose Connect Using A Dial-up Modem and click Next.
- In the ISP Name field type Hypernet and click Next.
- In the Phone Number field type the 10 digit local number that you will use and click Next.
- Type your username and password into the appropriate fields, leave the check boxes checked and click Next.
- You can choose to create a shortcut on the desktop by placing a check in the box, then click Finish.
- Close out of any open windows.
- You can start you dial-up connection by clicking on Start, then Connect To, and then click on Hypernet.
